Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation

Albeit I have tested a number of diverse makes and kinds of foundation, I am yet to find one that works perfectly with my skin’s condition and/or type.  There have been a few very good reviews on Laura Mercier Silk Crème Foundation makeup brand.  According to Beauty Aficionados, this brand carries some of the better foundations that are on the market, and that they are used by many popular makeup artists to the stars.  I purchased the Laura Mercier Silk Crème Foundation for forty two dollars plus tax.

The foundation is packaged in a glossy black tube that is great for managing how much of the foundation comes out when you squeeze it. It is also much more hygienic   than the other kinds of packaging wherein you have to put your fingers in it or pouring in it the palm of your hand.  The Laura Mercier Silk Crème Foundation is velvety in consistency, but is very light when it goes onto your face.  In fact, it felt as if I was not even wearing any foundation. Albeit the coverage comes in light to medium, I did not find that I had to use anything else to cover my spots.

However, my complete pleasure with the product dissipated in a short three hours after applying to my face.  This happened due to the fact that by that time, it had started to cake and smudge and fade.  I was in shock, as it had just looked so perfect a few hours before.  As such, I re-applied the foundation, thinking that maybe the time was just way too hot.  It proved to not be the weather though, as the same thing happened again after a few hours of re-applying the foundation.  The Laura Mercier Silk Crème Foundation does not work for my oily skin.

I discovered that it was definitely my oily type skin that did not work well with the product, as I gave it to my sister to try it on her non-oily skin.  It turned out that it was in fact perfect for her skin type, and she has only good things to say about the foundation.  It stays on her face all day and according to her it makes her skin glow.

What it shows is that different types of skin will react differently to particular products.  The Laura Mercier Silk Crème Foundation just did not work for me.  It obviously does not work on very oily skin like mine, yet it worked perfectly for my sister.  You should try it for yourself.
